Fresno State Bulldogs vs. New Mexico State Aggies
Brought to you by Who2beton.com
This is the finale for both of these clubs as the Fresno State Bulldogs invade
Las Cruces to take on the NM State Aggies. Head Coach Pat Hill’s Bulldogs
had themselves a bounce back season in ’07 after going (4-8) a season
ago and missed out on going bowling for the first time in seven years. That
won’t be the case this season, as last weeks win over K-State now has
them at (7-4) on the year and a bowl game certainly looks to be on the horizon.
The same can’t be said of New Mexico State who had aspirations of going
bowling for the first time since 1960 before the season started. They got off
to a nice start by winning two of their first three games, but it went all downhill
from there. They’ve only been able to muster up two wins since September
and because of it will miss out on the post-season festivities once again.
Fresno State has flat out owned the Aggies all time winning all 13 of their
previous match-ups. Since NMST joined the WAC, Fresno has posted 37-7 and 23-18
victories. The Aggies had the Bulldogs on the ropes last season in the Silicon
Valley, but a number of 4th quarter turnovers led to 17 straight Bulldog points
to allow for the come-from-behind victory.
Fresno State has been installed 13-point road favorites in this spot with the
‘Total’ set at 67. Bulldog backers should note, they’re 1-4
ATS their L/5 games as a road favorite and 2-9 ATS their L/11 as favorites of
10.5 or greater. As for the Aggies, they’re a poor 1-4 ATS their L/5 as
a dog greater than 10.5-points, but they’ve competed well at home vs.
+.500 teams going a perfect 4-0 ATS the L/4 times. As for the ‘Total’,
the ‘Over’ is 4-1 ATS the Bulldogs L/5 road games and 4-1 ATS in
the Aggies L/5 games as a home underdog.
It’s certainly not the most glamorous game that ESPN2 has broadcasted
this season, but it is Friday night football so tune in at 8:00 ET for all the
WAC fireworks….
SLAM YOUR MAN!!!
