Project overview

The Esports Summit is the first esports event in the MENA region. Created by the GL team, it has always served as a gathering place of gamers and esports professionals and enthusiasts from all over the region. 

 

This event, which has played a key role in raising awareness about esports and its potential for both: gamers and brands in the region, has managed to elevate the status of the industry in the region and attract more partners and sponsors. 

 

Known for its thrilling professional competitions and hype atmosphere, the Summit has been connecting gamers and brands since 2018; and even with the COVID-19 Pandemic hit in 2020 and 2021, we took the Summit online, showcasing a wide range of games, broadcasts, talents, and sponsors.

Esports Summit: Pioneering MENA Esports

Launched in 2018, Esports Summit quickly became one of MENA’s most anticipated esports events; with its first edition featuring more than 20 games, a prize pool of 150,000 EGP, and more than 5,000 attendees, it only continued to grow where the second edition in 2019 managed to double the attendance and prize pool.

Esports Summit: Going Digital

In 2020 and 2021, the Esports Summit went fully digital, covering tournament organization, esports live broadcasts, talent management, content production, and marketing services; all of which led to achieving significant reach and engagement with followers and viewers, and attracting numerous sponsors.  

Advanced Gameplay Analysis

Taking the viewing and gameplay analysis experience to the next level, the online edition of the Summit introduced the “Flip Screen” Replay System that enabled analysts to highlight key moments, important gameplays, and performance insights.

Notable Sponsors

The online Summit managed to attract numerous and diverse sponsors across various industries, such as TikTok, Spotify, Samsung Odyssey, AMD, and Orange.
